Roofs we install
- Standing-seam metal: the look on our homes, with a 40 to 60 year service life and excellent snow shedding
- Architectural asphalt shingles: affordable and proven, usually 20 to 30 years
- Low-slope and flat roofs with modern membranes for modern homes, garages and commercial buildings
- Metal accents over entries, bays and porches
- Soffit, fascia and eavestroughs, skylights and chimney flashing
Built for an Ontario winter
Most roof failures we see come down to three things: no ice-and-water membrane at the eaves, poor attic ventilation, and lazy flashing at walls and chimneys. Ice dams form when heat leaks into the attic and melts snow that refreezes at the cold eave. We fix the cause with air sealing and insulation at the attic floor, balanced soffit and ridge ventilation, and membrane where ice backs up.
Metal or shingles?
Shingles cost less up front. Metal costs more but lasts two to three times as long, sheds snow and suits modern and transitional design. Over the life of the house, metal often costs less per year. We price both so you can choose with the numbers in hand.
Roofing as part of a bigger project
A new roof is the right moment to add insulation, fix ventilation, add skylights or prepare for solar. On additions and custom homes we build the roof ourselves, so the framing, membranes and metal all answer to one team.
We work across Northumberland County (Colborne, Cobourg, Port Hope, Brighton), Quinte, Peterborough and the Kawarthas, with Barrie from early 2027.
Questions, answered
A standing-seam metal roof typically lasts 40 to 60 years, compared with about 20 to 30 years for architectural asphalt shingles.
Most homes take 2 to 5 working days, depending on size, pitch, weather and how much decking needs replacing.
Heat leaking into the attic melts snow, and the water refreezes at the cold eave. The fix is air sealing and insulation at the attic floor, balanced ventilation, and an ice-and-water membrane at the eaves.
A like-for-like reroof usually does not. Structural changes, new roof shapes and most commercial roofs do. We confirm with your municipality.
